The five friends arrived near the Sundarbans. They hired a boat.

The boatman asked, "Boys, where are you going?"

Raj said, "We will go deep into the jungle."

The boatman said in surprise, "Into the depths? No one goes there. It is dangerous."

Sami asked fearfully, "What danger?"

The boatman whispered, "There are ghosts. Many people have gone there, but no one has returned."

Nisha said, "We are not afraid. We will go."

The boatman sighed and said, "Okay. But stay careful."

The boat began to move. The river was calm, but a strange sound drifted from inside the jungle.

They were eating while sitting on the boat. The surrounding jungle grew denser. The trees were massive, and the vines were like snakes.

Mahi said, "Look, the river is getting even narrower."

Riyad said, "Yes. I think we have entered deep into the jungle."

Suddenly, the boat stopped at one place.

Raj asked, "What happened?"

The boatman said, "I will not go any further."

Raj asked, "Why?"

The boatman said, "That way is Kalveer's territory."

Sami asked in a trembling voice, "Kalveer? Who is that?"

The boatman said, "Kalveer is a powerful demon. He eats human souls."

Everyone fell silent. They realized that their adventure had truly become dangerous.

The friends got off the boat and entered the jungle. They had torches and sticks with them. The jungle was very dark; even sunlight couldn't reach the ground. The jungle was silent. There was no sound of birds, only the crunching of dry leaves.

Nisha said, "Look, these small footprints."

Raj said, "This could be a child's footprint."

They followed the footprints. After a while, they saw a small hut. The hut was dilapidated and very old.

Sami asked, "Does anyone live here?"

Suddenly, a small girl came out of the hut. Her dress was white, and her hair was long.

The girl asked, "Why have you come here?"

Raj said, "We are looking for this temple."

The girl said, "The temple is dangerous. You guys go back."

Raj asked, "Who are you?"

The girl said, "My name is Maya. I live here."

Maya looked at them solemnly. There was a strange fear in her eyes.

The friends decided to spend the night in Maya's hut. The night grew deeper. Everything around was very dark. Suddenly, the sound of crying drifted in. It was a very pathetic sound.

Nisha asked, "Do you guys hear that?"

Sami screamed in fear, "I want to go home!"

Raj said, "Calm down, Sami. I'm checking."

Raj went outside but couldn't see anything. Suddenly Maya said, "That is my mother's crying."

Raj asked, "Where is your mother?"

Maya said, "My mother is trapped in the temple."
